MARTHA BAKER LANDOLFI , ANDERSON 1922 - 2007 Mrs. Martha Ruth Hamby Baker Landolfi, age 84, of Anderson, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Hospice House. Born on July 3, 1922 in Manchester, GA, Mrs. Landolfi was a daughter of the late David Turner Hamby and Odessa Phillips Hamby. She was a resident of Brookside Living Center for several years. She worked in textiles for many years and was also a caregiver for several years in the Anderson area. Mrs. Landolfi was a member of the River of Life Church of God, formerly the McDuffie Street Church of God. Survivors include a son, La Dane Baker and his wife Gail of Williamston; daughters, Carolyn Baker Freeman and her husband Horace, Jean Baker Frost and her husband Donald and Grace Baker Luper and her husband Mike, all of Anderson; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Cecil L. Baker and her second husband John N. Landolfi; a son, Thearon L. Baker, five brothers and six sisters. The Funeral Service will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 3:00 pm officiated by the Reverends Ken Anderson, Chris Sustar and John Christmas. Interment will follow at the New Silverbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will be at her daughter's home, Carolyn Freeman, 511 Mary St. Anderson. Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers St. Anderson, SC 29621.
